surgical procedure using which a non-functioning or failed kidney is removed and replaced either with a living or deceased person's healthy kidney is kidney transplantation. The kidney performs the vital function of filtering and removing waste from the blood in the form of urine. So if the kidney stops functioning properly, i.e. if it will not filter out waste, the health conditions can get worse. As when the kidney stops filtering, the harmful level of toxins increases and waste accumulates in the body. Also, it causes high blood pressure that causes blood pressure and which causes kidney failure.

Do you know, even if 50% of the kidney is affected it could function? But if 90% of kidney stops functioning than the kidney disease becomes an end-stage disease, which requires a transplant. The common cause of kidney failure is chronic diabetes, high and uncontrolled blood pressure and inflammation along with scarring of glomeruli, which is a polycystic kidney disease known as chronic glomerulonephritis. while looking at the final kidney trasnplant cost in chennai , one should kee in mind doctor followup, medication and initially frequent investigations cost is an added cost over and above the treatment cost

  3. Identifying Living Donor - If any patient relative or family member is willing to donate his or her kidney, then the doctors will check if the kidney matches or not.
  4. Documentation - Recipient and donor IDs confirming the relation as per government norms, medical reports, and records.
  5. Transplant Authorisation Committee- Hospital’s transplant authorization committee will review & decide if the patient is eligible for a transplant.
